Paul Hammerton

Senior Vice President, Australia and New Zealand

Paul Hammerton is senior vice president of the Australia and New Zealand region for Keane. He is also chief executive officer of Keane Australia Micropayment Consortium (Kamco), which is delivering a $500 million new ticketing solution for the Transport Ticketing Authority and the state of Victoria, Australia. Paul is accountable for all business operations based out of Australia and New Zealand. He was a senior executive at Caritor, which merged with Keane in 2007.

A 35-year veteran of the information technology field, Paul has worked as an analyst, programmer, architect, IT director, business consultant, and chief executive, with key roles at Unisys and a variety of consulting firms, delivering technical and business solutions for clients in the banking, insurance, and public sector markets.

Paul is the founder of Figtree Systems, which has developed, distributed, supported, and maintained claims, risk, policy administration, and fleet management applications for large corporations, government agencies, insurers, and third-party claims administrators for more than 20 years. Figtree Systems is a global unit based in Australia and currently has distribution offices in New Zealand, the UK, Singapore, and Canada. Figtree became a wholly owned subsidiary of Caritor in 2006, creating a platform for strategic worldwide growth of the Figtree product suite.

Paul received his bachelor’s degree in computer science and statistics from the University of New South Wales.
