Multi-Year Agreements Help Improve Operational Efficiencies with Customer Service, Support and Guidance
Boston, MA – February 22, 2010 - Keane a U.S.-based IT services firm that helps clients realize the greatest value from their IT, announced today that it has recently been awarded contract extensions with two substantial partners of its Healthcare Solutions Division (HSD). University Physicians Hospital (UPH) and Ernest Health, Inc. selected Keane to help build a solid and reliable system designed to improve each company’s overall operations. The contracts were extended following upgrades to the Keane Optimum Patcom™ offering, a comprehensive, one-source solution that assists healthcare facilities in improving both financial performance and patient care.
With secure access from multiple locations, Keane Optimum Patcom™ helps communicate patient information and financials immediately throughout the healthcare system. The offering increases collaboration among disciplines, thereby improving clinical decision-making, enhancing patient care and satisfaction, and advancing financial performance.
UPH, Arizona’s largest physicians group and an existing user of Keane’s AS400 Insight™ product, served as the beta site to upgrade to Keane Optimum Patcom™ for its Health Information Management, Chart Management, Utilization Management, Enterprise Scheduling, Document Management, and eCQ (Dashboard) capabilities.
“With Keane’s recent decisions to focus on a single solution and bring the AS/400 and Unix product lines and teams together, we as the client are already starting to benefit from the improvements in their development and support. We are excited about the future of Optimum™ and Keane.”
“Keane has always been extremely responsive to our needs and is field tested by organizations like ours, so we felt confident implementing a solution from them that could help us grow,” said Mark Wise, Applications Manager at UPH. “As an academic institution poised for growth, it is critical that we constantly identify ways to streamline and improve business processes. Keane Optimum Patcom’s™ capabilities are already optimizing revenue and advancing overall operational efficiencies for our healthcare system.”
Ernest Health, a provider of high quality, cost-effective physical medicine and rehabilitation services, will be working with Keane to install Optimum Patcom™ in all 13 of its current facilities. The installation, scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2010, will also extend to any new facilities Ernest Health builds or acquires during the term of the contract. A major deciding factor for Ernest Health to extend its contract with Keane was Keane’s demonstrated outstanding customer service and attention to detail. Throughout the successful business relationship that began in 2005, Keane has continued to fit Ernest Health’s needs as well as support its plans for future growth.
“We first partnered with Keane as a start up,” said Darby Brockette, Ernest Health CEO. “Because of this, we were able to build a solid, reliable system to manage our revenue and accounts receivables right off the bat. As we continue to mature in our operations, we look forward to the additional functionality that Keane Optimum™ can bring us with the Patcom™ offering.”
“The contract extensions were the result of excellent working relationships as well as superior customer service and cost-effective IT solutions,” said Larry Coon, vice president of professional services for Keane HSD. “The Keane Optimum Patcom™ platform is able to address the unique needs of both companies, resulting in a reduction of overall company costs and an increase in cash flow.”
