What: DocTrain Life Sciences 2008 Joe Sokohl presented at DocTrain Life Sciences 2008 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He presented on the study of using user-centered techniques in health care settings. What: Financial Times Global Outsourcing and Offshoring Conference Chris Newell spoke at the FT Global Outsourcing and Offshoring Conference in London. Chris will speak on the panel titled “Managing the Distributed Workforce in a 24/7 World: Making Remote Working Work.” What: DocTrain West 2008 Joe Sokohl spoke at DocTrain West 2008in Vancouver, Canada. He will present on the topic of “Changing the Rules of the Game for the Benefit of the User: A Kobayashi Maru Approach to Developing User-Centered Training Content.” What: QAAM Meeting Michael Crerar presented at the QAAM Meeting in Linthicum, Maryland. His presentation entitled “Role of Risk Management in Project Management” addressed learning how to use everyday experiences to understand risks and the impact of risks. What: STEP AUTO 2008 International Conference: “Test Practices and Automation” Shiva Jayagopal will deliver a keynote address at the Test Automation Conference which will take place in Bangalore, India. Shiva will speak on how building R&D groups will exploit the power of test automation What: STEP AUTO Colloquium on Test Automation Shiva Jayagopal was keynote speaker at the STEP AUTO Colloquium on Test Automation. Shiva presented “Enabling Transformation through Test Automation.”
Susan Burgess was a keynote speaker, presenting “Ready, Set, Test – Giving Testers the Right Stuff!” at the QAI Testing Conference. The session explored why the quality of the testing function depends on the quality of the inputs to the process. Keane Federal Systems sponsored the event.
What: Usability Labs: “User Experience Russia 2007” Sanzhar Kettebekov spoke on the integration of user experience practices for portals and mobile interface design at the “User Experience Russia 2007” conference in Moscow in November. This was the first annual conference in Russia dedicated to usability of information technologies. The conference was devoted to World Usability Day.
What: Shared Insights’s and IIR’s “Portals, Collaboration and Content” Conference Langdon White presented “Web 2.0: Enabling Your Entire Business” at the conference sponsored jointly by Shared Insights and IIR.
Jeffrey Nuding presented "A PMP in Iraq: Lessons Learned Training for a Military Mission in Iraq" at PMI’s “Global Congress 2007” for North America in Atlanta, Georgia.
What: 6th Annual QAI & QAAM Regional Conference: “How to Manage and Control your IT Projects” Susan Burgess chaired the Quality Assurance Institute’s and the Quality Assurance Association of Maryland’s The 6th Annual Regional Conference in Baltimore, Maryland. Keane Federal Systems sponsored the welcoming reception.

What: Southern California Quality Assurance Association (SCQAA) Senior Project Manager Thomas Cutting spoke to the pressures forcing quality assurance professionals to change. In a presentation titled “Avoiding Shock Therapy- Managing Directional Change” Cutting explained how to recognize when change is happening and how to identify the focus points of various management levels. He also reviewed ways to determine the direction of the QA group and described tactics to keep the delivery team from the “electric chair.”
What: TiE Global Sourcing Workshop Imran Sayeed, Vice President, Financial Services, at Keane, Inc., participated in a panel discussion on outsourcing in the financial services industry at the TiE Global Sourcing Workshop.
What: Business Process Management Conference Philip Day, Director of Business Process Transformation for Keane, discussed the use of a mature BPM framework in driving value from business process outsourcing in his presentation titled, “Managing Outsourced Processes.” Adam Nelson, Director of Public Sector Solutions for Keane, presentated, “SOX & BPM: The Perception and the Reality,” a discussion of how technology can help achieve, sustain, and automate compliance as companies rely on an integrated governance framework for internal control as part of SOX compliance.
What: The Technology Professional Services Association 2006 Summit Keane SVP of Sales Gregg Blatt co-presented “New Approaches to Sales Enablement” at The Technology Professional Services Association 2006 Summit in mid-November. Together with Tim Keelan, founder of Chicago-based mobile learning provider StoryQuest, Inc., Blatt illustrated how Keane developed and rolled out a mobile and global sales enablement program in just five months. What: Gartner Healthcare Summit Kathy Haynes, Managing Director, Keane Healthcare Solutions, co-presented a case study on “Improving Fiscal Performance, Patient Satisfaction, and Patient Administrative Processes: The PACE Project” with Laurie Finigan, Director of Revenue Systems Analysis of Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). The case study illustrated how MGH, a Keane client partner for more than 20 years, improved fiscal performance and patient satisfaction, as well as simplified patient administrative processes and technology by implementing Patcom Plus, Keane’s revenue cycle management solution.
What: InfoWorld SOA Executive Forum Keane’s Langdon White was pivotal to a panel discussion at the InfoWorld SOA Executive Forum on November 7, 2006. The discussion, titled “Enterprise Mash-Ups”, focused on how mash-ups connect Web services using JavaScript and XML to yield browser-based apps whose functionality can rival that of heavy-duty SOA applications.
What: American Banker 12th Annual Financial Services Technology Forum Imran Sayeed, Keane’s Vice President, Financial Services, gave attendees a glimpse of the online needs of banking customers at the American Banker 12th Annual Financial Services Technology Forum on October 17, 2006. Sayeed’s presentation, titled “Online Services Survey – What Customers Want,” focused on how the growth in online banking is creating new challenges for banks that must constantly keep up with their customers' appetites for online financial planning assistance.
