At risk: millions of dollars a day if the company’s proprietary quoting application failed. The risk was very real: vendors no longer supported key software and hardware components of the application. After trying to rewrite the app, the company turned to Keane. We urged the company to “replatform” — preserve the application’s business logic while upgrading the hardware, software, and third-party components on which it runs – and then we began helping the company do just that.
