Keane’s Quality Control and Audit Processes
Keane’s project management methodology provides internal management review activities and tasks designed to maintain high levels of quality for active EAGLE TOs. Our quality control and surveillance measures are implemented through our internally independent Project Office and are designed to enforce Keane’s commitment to providing quality to our clients. Keane’s Project Office ensures compliance with three specific internal management review procedures for monitoring the progress of active TOs:
- Project Control and Reporting Process. Our PCRP provides a means for addressing project progress between the projects, the EAGLE PMO, and Keane’s executive management before, during, and after each project. The PCRP includes statistical data about completed project activities and tasks designed to quantify the relative quality score of each project. The purpose of the PCRP is to achieve contract, TO, and management objectives and to determine whether executive management intervention or additional support is required. The PCRP process includes mandatory activities related to establishing a detailed project plan and risk profile; providing project monitoring and control through regular status meetings; reporting; and identifying and mitigating risks. Keane’s Project Office conducts regular independent audits at key project milestones and facilitates the identification and implementation of corrective actions to enhance future performance.
- Monthly Project Reviews. We use MPRs to maintain a high level of senior management visibility and communication with task managers and the Keane EAGLE PMO. The reviews help align client satisfaction with contract performance to ensure that projects are on schedule and within contract financial parameters. If risk mitigation activities are required, MPRs ensure project and financial success. MPRs are chaired by the Keane Project Office and are attended by executive management, the Program Manager, and task managers. The Project Office serves as an integral part of the management review process. The Project Office provides an unbiased, independent analysis to ensure that the Keane processes, procedures, methodologies, and commitments specified in the project-defining documents are followed and that best practices are implemented.
- Audits. Audits serve as an effective tool for assessing the status and quality levels of IT support projects and include subcontractor performance when applicable. The Project Office conducts regularly scheduled quality audits to provide independent assessments of projects at key milestones and to facilitate the identification and implementation of corrective actions, if necessary, to enhance future performance. For CMM projects, we also conduct project-level SQA reviews to evaluate engagement-level plans and procedures for compliance with the SEI process and project management procedures used to deliver and produce software.
