Keane Chairman to Be Honored at AIF Annual Gala in Boston

Mani Subramanian Recognized for Contributions to India’s Economic Climate
Boston, MA – November 5, 2009 - Keane a U.S.-based IT services firm that helps clients realize the greatest value from their IT investments, today announced that company chairman Mani Subramanian will be honored at this year’s American India Foundation (AIF) Annual Gala on Saturday, November 7, at the Hyatt Regency in Cambridge, Mass.
“Mani’s vision and incredible passion in the IT services industry have been a mainstay for Keane as we have grown,” said John McCain, CEO of Keane. “His commitment to both India and the U.S. are evident in this highly respected recognition.”
Mr. Subramanian has more than 36 years of experience in the global information technology industry, managing divisions and businesses in the UK, India and the U.S. He was the founder of Caritor, a global IT consulting and systems integration firm that eventually combined with Keane, after leading Wipro through a period of significant growth in its IT offshoring business while holding the presidential post there. Before joining Wipro, Mr. Subramanian was part of the top management team at Tata Consultancy Services and was instrumental in growing its UK operation.
For the past three years, the annual AIF Boston Galas has been a celebration of giving, paving the way for programs in education, livelihood and public health. Many of New England’s leading philanthropists will be attending the event to show their support for AIF’s pioneering work in India to help bridge the educational and digital divide with computer and Internet-based learning. The event will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a cocktail reception followed by dinner and entertainment by the renowned Chhandika Kathak Dance Ensemble.
