Tirozzi, Manager of Project Management Services at Keane will present at a “Project Management – Managing Outsourced/Diverse Teams” workshop at Babson College on January 26, 2007.  He will discuss how the growth of outsourcing, offshoring, global sourcing, and similar arrangements have created a new layer of complexity for today’s global project manager. Mr.Tirozzi’s discussion will offer constructive solutions to alleviate the complications that arise when managing teams in a global environment.

Venkata Ramana Gundamaraju, Keane’s Deputy General Manager of Insurance, will present at the “Seminar on Business Intelligence” conducted by the National Insurance Academy in Pune, India on January 23, 2007. His presentation titled, “The Role of Business Intelligence in Insurance – Issues and Challenges,” will explain how business intelligence is affecting both Life and P&C insurance across the value chain, from product development and sales/marketing to underwriting, claims management and reinsurance. The National Insurance Academy in Pune, India, was established in 1980, primarily as a training institute for senior executives of the insurance industry by the Life Insurance and General Insurance Industry, with active support from the Government of India.  Over the years, the Academy’s activities have diversified and now encompass training, research, education, consultancy and publications.

Senior Project Manager Thomas Cutting spoke to the pressures forcing quality assurance professionals to change. In a presentation titled “Avoiding Shock Therapy- Managing Directional Change” Cutting explained how to recognize when change is happening and how to identify the focus points of various management levels.  He also reviewed ways to determine the direction of the QA group and described tactics to keep the delivery team from the “electric chair.” For more information, click here.

Philip Day, Director, Business Process Transformation for Keane discussed the use of a mature BPM framework in driving value from business process outsourcing in his presentation titled, “Managing Outsourced Processes.”  Director of Public Sector Solutions for Keane, Adam Nelson’s presentation, “SOX & BPM: The Perception and the Reality,” discussed how technology can help achieve, sustain, and automate compliance as companies rely on an integrated governance framework for internal control as part of SOX compliance.

Keane SVP of Sales Gregg Blatt co-presented “New Approaches to Sales Enablement” at The Technology Professional Services Association 2006 Summit in mid-November. Together with Tim Keelan, founder of Chicago-based mobile learning provider StoryQuest, Inc., Blatt illustrated how Keane developed and rolled out a mobile and global sales enablement program in just five months.

Keane’s Langdon White was pivotal to a panel discussion at the InfoWorld SOA Executive Forum on November 7, 2006. The discussion, titled “Enterprise Mash-Ups”, focused on how mash-ups connect Web services using JavaScript and XML to yield browser-based apps whose functionality can rival that of heavy-duty SOA applications.

Imran Sayeed, Keane’s Vice President, Financial Services, gave attendees a glimpse of the online needs of banking customers at the American Banker 12th Annual Financial Services Technology Forum on October 17, 2006. Sayeed’s presentation, titled “Online Services Survey – What Customers Want,” focused on how the growth in online banking is creating new challenges for banks that must constantly keep up with their customers' appetites for online financial planning assistance.

In his presentation, “Crossing Over: Bridging the Gap Between Business and IT in the New IT Ecosystem.” Imran Sayeed, Keane’s Vice President, Financial Services, argued that IT must dramatically change the way it delivers enterprise software solutions in today’s ecosystem environment. He advocated new investment and software development strategies that that enable IT to successfully deliver on business goals. He also highlighted Keane’s work with the Victoria, Australia, Transport Ticketing Authority as a prime example of an innovative approach to enterprise solution delivery.
