13 Jan 2009
Keane to provide clients with end-to-end solution standards to help drive efficiencies,
reduce down time and cost
San Ramon, CA — January 13, 2009 – Keane, Inc., a global services
firm that specializes in optimizing businesses IT investments, today announced that
it has been certified by SAP AG as a provider of solution implementation based on
the Run SAP® methodology. Keane, Inc. is one of the first SAP services
partners to be certified in the Run SAP methodology and will incorporate the methodology
into its practice standards.
"By adopting the Run SAP methodology into our implementation, support and maintenance
standards, we are going beyond the vision of implementing the solutions required
by our customers," said Ravi Mohan, Keane’s SVP of the Enterprise Applications Services
Practice. "By using the Run SAP methodology, we will now be able to operate, maintain
and optimize customer’s mission-critical SAP solution-based systems from the early
stages of implementation through the post implementation phase, for highly cost
effective and optimal end-to-end solution operation. This will help empower our
customers to manage their SAP applications more efficiently and at a lower cost."
"Keane has been working with large enterprises across the globe to run their SAP
solutions for more than 40 years, providing value and superior customer experience,"
Mr. Mohan added. “This new certification builds on our core capability to enable
our customers to create operational excellence, drive efficient maintenance and
optimize their existing enterprise software investments."
Keane’s future plans for Run SAP include interfacing its proprietary incident management
system, Certido™, with the SAP Solution Manager application management solution
for faster tracking and resolution of customer issues.
The Run SAP methodology is a phased methodology based on world-class knowledge,
providing best-practice procedures, content, services, training and tools for end-to-end
solution operations, along with a standardized and proven implementation method.
The methodology focuses on application management, business process operations,
and administration of SAP solutions. It describes how support should be implemented
across the lifecycle design, set-up, operations and optimization. In addition, with
its best-practice documents for solution operations, it describes how to implement
end-to-end solution operations for different SAP software-based business processes.
"We applaud Keane in becoming one of the first SAP services partners certified in
the Run SAP methodology,” said Dr. Uwe Hommel, executive vice president of Active
Global Support at SAP AG. "By adopting the end-to-end solution operations standards
provided by the Run SAP methodology, Keane will be well suited to deliver to its
customers a higher level of effectiveness and efficiency."
SAP customers will realize the benefits of operating with end-to-end standards.
SAP standards for solution operations are a prerequisite for the continuous improvement
of SAP solution operations. Not only do they enable automation, reducing the cost
of operations, but also provide improved traceability and an audit trail, helping
companies to achieve cost efficiency, quality assurance and compliance enablement.
